Development that is ours — built by Bassa hands.

The Wahblojah Foundation for Development is a non-profit, non-political charity foundation serving Grand Bassa County and the Republic of Liberia — supporting persons with disabilities and the less privileged, young and old, through many disciplines, while advancing community initiatives, civic awareness, and human and infrastructural development for the county and the country.

Our Mission

Small things, done faithfully, become big things.

Wahblojah exists to lift people and move Liberia forward — beginning at home in Grand Bassa. We are a charity foundation: we stand with persons with disabilities, with less-privileged children, and with the young and the old who need a hand, across many disciplines. And we build for tomorrow through community initiatives, civic awareness, and human and infrastructural development. We do not believe in grand promises. We believe in help that actually arrives, a promise that is publicly kept, and a person who gets a real chance. Our work is planned with the community, led from the ground in Buchanan, and measured by what is finished — not what is announced.

"Independence is not a memory we celebrate once a year. It is work we do every day."
Our Story

Serving Liberia since 2018.

Our Work

Charity that arrives. Development that lasts.

Persons with Disabilities & the Less Privileged

We stand with those our society too often leaves behind. Through charitable support across many disciplines, the Foundation helps persons with disabilities and less-privileged members of our communities live with dignity, access opportunity, and be counted.

Children, Young & Old

From less-privileged kids who deserve a chance at education, to elders who deserve care and respect — Wahblojah serves every generation. Help should not depend on your age; it should depend on your need.

Community Initiatives & Civic Awareness

Strong communities are informed communities. We organize community initiatives and civic awareness programs that help citizens know their rights, engage constructively, and hold public promises to account — with attention, not anger.

Human & Infrastructural Development

For the county and the country: we invest in people — skills, digital literacy, and enterprise — and we champion the infrastructure Bassa people depend on, because human development and physical development must rise together.

Flagship Initiative

The Bassa Forward Initiative

BFI is the Foundation's flagship civic initiative — launched in Grand Bassa County and run by Bassa people, in Bassa, for Bassa. It carries three pillars: Digital Empowerment; Civic Accountability and Community Action; and Youth and Enterprise Development — brought to life through free workshops, community action, and youth programs across the county.

Learn. Act. Build.
Grand Bassa's tomorrow begins today.
Where We Stand

Non-political. Non-partisan. For everybody.

The Wahblojah Foundation for Development is a non-profit charity foundation, and the Foundation and the Bassa Forward Initiative are not political movements. We will never endorse or oppose any candidate or political party. Our accountability work applies equally to whoever holds office: we praise delivery and question delay, regardless of party. Our only politics is potholes, classrooms, and opportunity for the people of Grand Bassa and Liberia.
